Job summary

Refresco Beverages US, Inc. is hiring for a nightshift Maintenance Technician in Lakeland, FL. The role supports production and warehouse operations, performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and line changes with a focus on food safety and GMP compliance.

You will troubleshoot a range of equipment, read blueprints, and work with minimal supervision. The job requires forklift certification, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health and safety policies, GMPs, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain and service production and warehouse equipment; perform repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot machinery (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic).
• Perform line changeovers and document work orders with part numbers.
• Train other maintenance personnel and communicate shift-to-shift updates.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams to drive improvements.

Nightshift: 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM (Continental/Block Schedule)

Pay Range (DOE) = $32 to $36.00/Hour Plus $1.00/hour Shift Differential

Essential Job Functions:

• Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
• Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF).
• Report problems with the FSMS to responsible managerial employees to initiate corrective actions.
• Ability to perform and complete repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
• Able to troubleshoot machinery for malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, & pneumatic).
• Able to perform maintenance on all production supporting equipment (i.e. glycol system, RO system, Compressed Air system, lubrication systems, chemical distribution systems).
• Use innovative thinking when troubleshooting equipment in order to minimize production downtime, assure food safety, product quality and personnel safety.
• Complete, document, and retrieve final approvals on all assigned work orders to include recording all utilized part numbers for inventory purposes.
• Communicate effectively and completely all relevant maintenance and production related information from shift to relieving shift.
• Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
• Communicate with production during periods of downtime.
• Work collaboratively with all adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive improvement.

Education and Experience:

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years previous maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evening, and overnight may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed.
• Work Environment: Operating in a fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise levels require hearing protection and temperatures can get very hot and/or relatively cold). The environment is structured and supervised.

Travel Requirements:

• May be minimal travel required as needed for training.
