Job summary

Infra Pipes seeks a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, repair, and test mechanical systems at our Springfield, MO facility. You will support line changeovers, PMC-based maintenance, and facility upkeep to minimize downtime and sustain production safety and efficiency.

The role requires five years of hands-on industrial maintenance, with strong mechanical, plumbing, welding, and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated mechanical repair and plumbing experience required.
  • Basic welding, manual machining, and electrical troubleshooting skills preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and supporting equipment.
  • Communicate equipment performance issues with operators and supervisors.
  • Install new equipment and components per specifications.
  • Assemble and maintain mechanical components (gears, shafts, bearings).
  • Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of motors and electrical components.
  • Assemble and maintain plumbing systems for water, gas, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications.
  • Perform regular line changeovers and equipment adjustments.
  • Repair and maintain facility infrastructure.
  • Perform preventive maintenance per programs.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and keep work areas clean and safe.
  • Adhere to safety policies and regulations.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and testing mechanical and related systems within the Springfield, MO manufacturing facility. This role ensures production and auxiliary equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established safety and operational standards. The Maintenance Technician supports line changeovers, preventive maintenance activities, and facility upkeep to minimize downtime and support continuous production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and supporting equipment, including extruders, blenders, water pumps, vacuum pumps, grinders, compressors, and related systems.
  • Communicate equipment performance issues and maintenance needs with machine operators, maintenance team members, and supervisors to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Install new equipment and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical components such as gears, shafts, seals, bearings, and related systems.
  • Assist with assembly, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of motors, transformers, wiring, and other electrical components.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain plumbing systems for water, gas, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications.
  • Perform regular line changeovers and equipment adjustments to support production requirements.
  • Repair and maintain the physical infrastructure of the production facility.
  • Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with established preventive maintenance programs.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts to support optimal equipment uptime.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Technical, vocational, or military training certificate or degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Demonstrated mechanical repair and plumbing experience required.
  • Basic welding, manual machining, and electrical troubleshooting skills preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings required.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and on‑call as required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Walk, sit, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
  • Use hands for repetitive motions, equipment handling, and keyboarding.
  • Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color distinction, and focus adjustment.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Work in moderate to high noise environments and varying indoor/outdoor conditions including heat, cold, humidity, dust, fumes, vibration, and moving machinery.
  • Required to wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, reflective clothing, and safety boots.
