Job summary

Teknor Apex Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment across our plant. The role ensures equipment operates at design efficiency with minimal supervision.

The position requires reading electrical schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and using electrical test equipment. Night shifts and overtime are included as part of the schedule, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and facilities equipment.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Installation, service and repair of mechanical equipment.
• Use electrical test equipment to test electrical circuits and equipment.
• Size and install electrical equipment in accordance with the National Electric Code.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC motors and motor drives.
• Understand PLC operations, troubleshooting and ladder logic diagrams.
• Read and interpret documentation such as electrical schematics, manuals and technical bulletins.
