Adare Pharma Solutions in Vandalia, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform demand and preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment at our Ohio Manufacturing and R&D site.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, GMP familiarity, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Strong adherence to safety, SOPs, and regulatory standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance; GMP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of digital control systems and programmable controllers preferred.
• Ability to learn and troubleshoot technical issues and read electrical diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
• Familiarity with electrical power distribution and control; read wiring diagrams.
• Read measuring instruments and use computer-based maintenance systems.
• Calibration/validation experience preferred; electronics/metrology training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment and facilities are operational and well-maintained.
• Troubleshoot and repair facilities and equipment; perform electrical/mechanical tasks.
• Complete preventive maintenance and inspections; manage fluids and lubrication.
• Inspect, repair, and replace instruments and pneumatic equipment.
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment and set up new or relocated units.
• Support calibration and equipment validation activities.
• Adhere to OSHA, cGMP, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Submit maintenance work orders and data in CMMS; maintain records.
• Promote safety and cGMP programs; cooperate with team and management.

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform demand and preventive maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment at Adare’s Ohio Manufacturing and R&D facility. The mission of the Department is unimpeded availability of Facilities and Equipment. The Maintenance Technician is critical to fulfilling this mission.

Responsibilities

• Assure equipment and facilities are operational, functional, and in good repair.
• Trouble-shoot and repair facilities and equipment
• Complete maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance including checking and changing fluids, lubricating, packing mechanical units, maintaining filters, and equipment inspections.
• Inspect, repair, and replace electronic and pneumatic instruments.
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment.
• Set up and move new or existing equipment.
• Assist instrument calibration and equipment validation.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all applicable OSHA, cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company Environmental, Safety, and Health procedures.
• Complete demand and preventive maintenance work orders. Submit completed forms to the computerized maintenance system. Input data as necessary.
• Support and promote safety and cGMP programs.
• Follow other job-related instructions and complete other job-related tasks as necessary or as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
• Attends work on a regular and predictable basis.
• Completes assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.
• Upholds Company policies, including the Professional Conduct Policy and Prohibition Against Harassment Policy, and the Business Ethics and Conduct Code.
• Works in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the public.

Experience, Education, and Skills Required

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance, GMP experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of digital control systems and programmable controllers is preferred.
• Ability to learn and assimilate technical matters, troubleshoot machine problems, recommend solution and/or fix problems is required.
• Working knowledge of the basics of electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general mechanics is required.
• Working knowledge of electrical power distribution and control
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and control circuits
• Ability to use measuring instruments
• Working knowledge of personal computers
• Experience with computerized maintenance systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of chemicals and hazardous materials is preferred.
• Experience with calibration and/or validation is preferred.
• Specialized training in electronics/metrology is preferred.
• Instrument Technician Certification is preferred.
