Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance around facilities.
  • Repair windows, floors, doors, walls.
  • Fix plumbing to prevent leaks.
  • Do minor electrical work (fixtures, outlets).
  • Maintain HVAC equipment.
  • Apply preventative safety and maintenance measures.
  • Paint interior/exterior when needed.
  • Report safety hazards.
  • Maintain company vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Are you a problem-solver with a knack for fixing just about anything? We're looking for a Maintenance Technician who's a true jack of all trades! In this role, you'll tackle a variety of tasks, from basic electrical, carpentry, and plumbing repairs to troubleshooting and repairing household appliances. No two days are the same, and your versatility and can-do attitude will make a real difference in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Job Duties
  • Perform routine maintenance in and around the ISLs
  • Fix structural damage, such as windows, floors, doors, walls, etc.
  • Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
  • Perform minor electrical tasks, such as replacing light fixtures, electrical outlets, light switches, etc.
  • Maintain HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
  • Apply preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems, such as caulking bathroom and kitchen fixtures, doors, windows, etc.
  • Painting interior or exterior of houses when needed
  • Fixing or reporting any safety hazards to avoid injuries
  • Perform minor and routine maintenance on company vehicles
  • Duties as assigned
Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Strong understanding of facilities maintenance and the tools needed to maintain quality and integrity
  • Must own tools needed for basic home repair: Tape measure, screwdriver set, socket set, drill/driver, adjustable wrench, utility knife, set of pliers, flashlight, etc.
  • Ability to think creatively and to develop timely solutions to facility problems
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Positive team spirit and displays a great attitude
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment; when finished, leave the work area the same as when you arrived
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and look for ways to improve safety and quality
  • Reports questionable conditions to supervisor
Physical Demands
  • Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time; stoop, kneel, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, grasp, and pinch on a continual basis
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 20-50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
  • The employee is frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations and to receive ordinary information
  • Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing
Education and/or Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of general facility maintenance, construction, or related field

Must be able to pass Family Care Safety Registry and criminal background check
