Job summary

SIERRA PACIFIC INDUSTRIES in Noti, Oregon is looking for a skilled Millwright to maintain and repair machinery at the mill. Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a mill environment, and be proficient in welding and cutting. The position includes general maintenance duties and may involve overtime and heavy lifting.

Compensation

Millwrights earn between $35.45 and $39 per hour.

About The Position

• Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in the mill
• Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift, and welding truck
• Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area
• Engage in occasional heavy lifting while working in both hot and cold environments
• Work may include overtime, weekend, and holiday shifts during busy production times

Qualifications

• 1 year recent, related work history with verifiable references; mill experience preferred
• Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs
• Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics preferred
• Industrial/sawmill maintenance experience is a plus
