Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its Crop Science division in Lubbock, TX. The role involves hands-on maintenance of production equipment, rotating pre-season tasks and seasonal repairs, while ensuring safety and compliance with environmental standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and tablets.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Availability for days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends and overtime.
• Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to conduct maintenance on facilities and equipment used for harvesting, conditioning, and packaging.
• Responsible for needs assessment and compliance with hazardous work permits.
• Maintain accurate records for all maintenance activities performed.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental and QA/QC standards.
• Support our sustainability efforts.
• Help us to continually improve and meet Bayer goals.
• Position entails driving a company vehicle (may drive >8,500 miles annually or frequently pool car).
