Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. in Hillsboro, OR is hiring a Maintenance Technician to sustain production by ensuring machinery and equipment operate safely and reliably.

You will troubleshoot industrial equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and carry out repairs using hand and power tools, CMMS work orders, and standard operating procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Shift and weekend work required.

Qualifications

• The position is subject to 24-hour call-out, shift, and weekend work.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to climb stairs and work in high-up areas.
• Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices
• 3 years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
• Excellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipment
• Ability to read and understand detailed repair & instruction manuals
• Must be able to work with computer-based maintenance software
• Must supply own hand tools appropriate to the equipment and environment

Responsibilities

• Learning the processes of how products are made and all the steps that go into it.
• Learning about site-specific equipment and how it should properly function.
• Maintaining smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
• Troubleshooting specific industrial equipment by using precise measuring and testing instruments
• Dismantling and reassembling of equipment using hand and power tools.
• Inspecting and assessing the wear and remaining useful life of various power transmission components
• Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with the Company’s procedures, rules, and regulations.
