The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal operational downtime. This role applies advanced technical knowledge across multiple skilled trades—including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance to troubleshoot issues, execute repairs, and implement system improvements that enhance efficiency and reliability.
Working under general supervision, you will routinely inspect equipment, identify potential failures, and take proactive measures to prevent disruptions. This role may also provide guidance, training, and oversight to junior team members / op-techs, ensuring work is completed in alignment with established standards, policies, and performance targets. The position requires collaboration with internal teams, supervisors, and external contractors or vendors.
This position will be onsite.
Salary Range $33.44 - $47.00
In this role, you will have the chance to:
Perform scheduled maintenance on facilityequipment and systems.
Repairthe malfunction of machines,systemsand auxiliary equipment.
Routinely checks on machinery and systems for signs of fault.
Initiates improvement on the functionality of facilityequipment and systems to increase its efficiency.
Senior position mightactas a team leader to ensure that the work meets agreed targets by directly overseeing team members.
Mustdemonstrateknowledge of the field's policies,proceduresand practices
Documents activities accordingly.
Must have High School Diploma and 3+ years of related experience
Knowledge of basic plumbing repair for facility fixtures and drains.
Able to install conduit and pull content wire;measure and interpret line and phase voltages and currents.
Understand basic mechanical blueprint reading principles.
Understand motorcontrols,sensorsand electrical control devices.
Understand basic fluidsprinciples and apply to equipment.
Understand and apply SDWT principles
Must be able to perform preventive maintenance on support equipment
Must have a good understanding of positive pressure requirements in controlled environments
Must haveknowledgerefrigerant types, condensers, pumps, evaporators, expansion devices, and safety control devices.
Lockout / tagout and protective clothing requirements.
Able to read electrical schematics.
Experience introubleshootingPLC controlled equipmentand ortrouble shoot transformers.
Ability to solder andbraze .
Ability to install copper pipe,tubingand related fittings.
Experienceidentifyinggage types, cut, and bend sheet metals.
Knowledgeableofoperating principles of air handling systems.
