Job summary

Lacerta Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on plant machinery across facilities in Mansfield, MA. You will ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently to support production goals while documenting repairs and maintaining tools and parts.

You will work on mechanical and electrical systems, follow lockout/tagout and SQF/ISO standards, and collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Solid mechanical knowledge of machinery and repair.
• Basic knowledge of electrical installation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on production equipment.
• Perform basic electrical, wiring, and motor repairs as needed.
• Order, replace, and install machine parts to minimize downtime.
• Repair and maintain safety guards and protective devices.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Maintain tools and workspaces in safe, organized condition.
• Document and report maintenance activities and completed projects.
• Follow safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and SQF/ISO standards.
• Assist in training other maintenance staff.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
