Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Concord, New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs and perform repairs to promote a welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate will have excellent mechanical skills, a commitment to cleanliness, and the ability to manage chemical safety and maintenance operations effectively. The company offers a supportive workplace that celebrates diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance work including light electrical and carpentry.
• Familiarity with emergency procedures for chemical usage.
• Ability to learn new skills and techniques.

We are looking for a full time Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

In this role the Maintenance Technician performs repairs (both minor and major). You will implement regular and preventive maintenance programs that promote a sense of well-being and aesthetic appeal for residents and staff and communicate with the Maintenance Director on the condition of buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste.
• Maintains a clean laundry room in an orderly manner and stores chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction.
• Follows standards and practices for specific chemicals.
• Demonstrates excellent mechanical skills.
• Works effectively within the work-order system.
• Performs general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.)
  
  

Requirements

• Familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misused.
• Demonstrates the interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
• Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment.
