Fairstead is hiring a Maintenance Technician to uphold day-to-day property operations and maintain physical assets. Responsibilities include inspecting buildings, performing repairs, and enforcing safety standards to protect occupants and workers.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills to handle minor repairs and fixtures.
• Knowledge of electricity to diagnose electrical problems and carry out minor repairs.
• General maintenance skills across building systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication for clear information delivery.
• Prior experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role.
• HVAC, CMRP, or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Inspect buildings and equipment regularly for needed repairs and improvements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Implement maintenance policies and standards to prevent misuse of property appliances.
• Ensure properties are safe for occupants, visitors, and workers.
• Clean and prepare vacated buildings and rooms for new occupants.
• Check electrical wiring for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Check safety systems and devices for operational effectiveness monthly.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance outside normal hours.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment.
