Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Missouri is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing equipment and processes. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on CNC machines and robotics.

The role emphasizes PM programs, installation of new equipment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Weekend shift initially, with potential transition to a nightly 3rd shift after 6–12 months.

Qualifications

  • Industrial Maintenance degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six years related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles and three-phase motors.
  • Experience with PLCs, robotics, and CNC/AC/DC systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics and troubleshoot complex equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize PM as the proactive means of controlling machine up/down time.
  • Organize and document log out / tag out procedures.
  • Manage oil analysis program for all required equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on machinery.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics for CNC/welding/equipment layouts.
  • Perform PLC control and robotic control troubleshooting.
  • Install and validate new manufacturing equipment.

Available Shift
  • This position is initially assigned to the Weekend shift (Friday - Sunday 7:00am - 7:30pm). Following a 6-12 month period, this role is anticipated to transition to a 3rd shift assignment (Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am ).
Job Description

Knowledge And Skills
  • Knowledge of the basic principles on how the machinery/equipment/ tools work.
  • Skilled & knowledge on electrical principles of three phase, motors (linear, servo, AC Induction, DC motor) and able to diagnose and troubleshoot any technical problem on electrical of CNC machines, welding machines, overhead crane, compressors etc.
  • Skilled & knowledge of electronic principles and able to interpret blueprint and schematic component and troubleshoot on the problem of CNC machines, welding machines, overhead crane, compressors etc.
  • Skilled & knowledge in performing troubleshoot with ladder diagram and diagnose any technical problem on PLC control of CNC machines
  • Skilled & knowledge in performing on the installation of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Skilled & knowledge on electrical principles of three phase, motors (linear, servo, AC Induction, DC motor) and able to diagnose and troubleshoot any technical problem on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Summary Pay Range
