Job summary

Union Technologies, headquartered in Dallas, TX, seeks a Maintenance Technician IV to serve as a subject-matter expert in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing manufacturing equipment and facility systems. You will drive reliability improvements within a Factories-as-a-Stockpile environment and lead complex problem-solving for CNC, forging, and automated systems.

As a Maintenance Technician IV, your primary responsibility is to serve as a subject matter expert in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role plays a critical part in driving equipment reliability, leading complex problem-solving efforts, and supporting strategic maintenance and operational initiatives within a Factories-as-a-Stockpile environment. You will be expected to perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of CNC machines, forging presses, conveyors, and automated systems.

Skills And Preferred Knowledge

• Expert-level troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Strong experience with CNC, forging, and automated manufacturing equipment
• Advanced knowledge of PLC systems, controls, and automation
• Deep understanding of reliability engineering and maintenance strategies
• Ability to analyze data and drive process improvements
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree or certification strongly preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Demonstrated leadership in complex troubleshooting and system optimization
• Experience with advanced automation and control systems

Physical Demands:

• Walk; sit; stand; bend; lift; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; use hands to fingers; handle or feel objects; and move continually during working hours
• Lift over 50 pounds, along with over the head lifting
• Vision abilities, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
• Able to work flexible hours - including over-time, and weekends to meet customer demands
