Florida Power & Light is seeking an Instrumentation & Control technician for the Sanford Plant in Debary, Florida. The role includes troubleshooting and maintaining power plant instrumentation systems, alongside ensuring safety and productivity. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of relevant experience and must be adaptable to a changing work schedule.

This position is located at our Sanford Plant in Debary, Florida and will travel the state of Florida to support the fleet outages. Tools are provided by the company. Days and shifts will vary based on the business unit needs during the outage. Normal schedule (not supporting an outage) is a day shift Monday-Friday. Overtime hours average approximately between 400 hours to 800 hours per year. Employees are offered per diem when traveling outside of their region. The plant operates 24/7 so individuals will be expected to work and support weekend days as needed.
Performs Instrumentation & Control equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, replacement and repair activities.
Troubleshooting Distributed Control Systems and PLCs installation, troubleshooting and repair of fiber optic conductors.
