Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Columbus, OH is seeking a dependable maintenance technician to service mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems. The role requires 2–4 years hands-on maintenance experience and strong troubleshooting abilities.

You will perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, install and repair electrical and hydraulic components, and help keep the facility safe and productive.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, or general building maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • The ability to work independently while following direction from supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Listen for and identify unusual machine operation or sounds to detect equipment malfunctions.
  • Disassemble machinery, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain bearings, gears, shafts, and other machine components.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, transformers, motors, and other electrical equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and piping systems, including valves, gauges, and pressure regulators.
  • Repair and maintain the facility, including general building maintenance tasks.
  • Operate welding and cutting equipment to fabricate or repair metal components.
  • Perform basic carpentry and repair work, including benches, partitions, counters, and other wooden structures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately and communicate equipment issues to supervisors.

Job description

Pay:$18.00–$22.00 perhour (basedexperience)

Pay increases areavailable based onperformance, attendance, skill development, anddemonstrated abilities.

Schedule
  • 1st Shift:7:30 AM– 4:00 PM
  • Overtime opportunities available
