Job summary

Skechers USA Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex automated warehouse systems. The role focuses on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with emphasis on high-speed sortation and conveyor equipment.

You will work Monday–Friday, 6am–2:30pm in Rancho Belago, CA, ensuring safety and uptime. You must have 5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience with automated systems, strong knowledge of NFPA

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience with automated systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards and industrial safety practices.
• Experience with electric, hydraulic, pneumatic and high-speed sortation equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and technical drawings for troubleshooting and repair.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working at variable heights.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical/electrical failures on automated warehouse systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and I/O levels; diagnose processor faults.
• Service and repair motor control panels, relays, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Install and service sensors, encoders, bar code readers, and VFDs.
• Repair pneumatic/hydraulic systems and conveyor equipment across multiple lines.

The Technician III will demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on sophisticated industrial equipment while maintaining the highest safety standards. Pay Range: $26.58 - $39.23 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday / 6am to 2:30pm \\*Hands-on Test Required\\***Duties and Responsibilities*** Identify, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical failures, including error/fault codes on industrial equipment* Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to the Input/Output level, including processor fault identification* Service and repair Motor Control Panels, including motor starters, overloads, relays, switches, circuit breakers, and fuses* Install, troubleshooting, and repair sensors, photo eyes, proximity switches, encoders, bar code readers, dimensions, and Variable Frequency Drives* Install, wire, and repair dual voltage (480VAC/208VAC) 3-phase motors with brakes and speed reducers* Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems including compressors, valves, actuators, cylinders, and vacuum components* Service hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, and associated components* Perform fabrication work including cutting, drilling, and welding while following hot work safety procedures* Troubleshoot and repair multiple conveyor systems (belted, roller, MDR, powered curve, spiral) and high-speed sortation equipment (sliding shoe, cross-belt, pocket sorters, tilt trays)* Navigate Warehouse Control Systems and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for system diagnostics and control* Troubleshoot servo motor controls, in-motion scales, Print and Apply systems, and Automatic Storage Retrieval Systems (ASRS)* Work safely with electrical systems (12VDC to 600VAC) following NFPA 70E standards using multimeter and diagnostic equipment* Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for troubleshooting and repair applications**Requirements*** **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.* **Experience:** Minimum 5-7 years of industrial maintenance experience with automated systems.* **Technical Skills:** Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and automated material handling equipment.* **Safety:** Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards and industrial safety practices.* **Tools:** Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.* Hot work permit certification* Experience with Warehouse Control Systems and HMI interfaces* Background in automated distribution or warehouse operations* Certification in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance* Ability to work at variable heights using proper PPE* Capability to lift up to 50 pounds* Ability to work in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing)* Manual dexterity for precision work* Fast-paced environment requiring quick problem resolution* Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities* Strong communication skills across all organization levels* Service-oriented mindset with focus on minimizing downtime* Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks* Commitment to safety and continuous improvementSalary range: $26.58 - $39.23
