Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to support hospital facility maintenance and equipment reliability. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic systems, carpentry, and painting.

The role requires working in a hospital environment, reading blueprints, using CMMS and BAS, and coordinating with contractors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience as a general maintenance or service-related technician.
  • Hospital or healthcare facility experience required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and meter usage.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use computerized maintenance management systems and building automation systems.
  • Strong communication, organization, planning, and scheduling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility systems and equipment.
  • Respond to equipment failures and complete repairs within established timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate work orders and documentation using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Use and perform basic functions within a Building Automation System.
  • Assist with, oversee, and inspect contractor repairs and facility modifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues across multiple systems.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and safely use electrical meters and maintenance tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Maintain equipment documentation, inventory, and related records.
  • Create and process purchase orders as needed.
  • Follow OSHA, departmental, hospital, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate equipment issues, shutdowns, and major failures to appropriate leadership.
  • Provide professional customer service to patients, staff, visitors, and internal departments.
  • Participate in required hospital and departmental training.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to support facility maintenance and equipment reliability in a hospital environment. This position will perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general facility maintenance across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic systems, carpentry, and painting.
