Job summary

WarehouseGig in Warrendale, PA, seeks an experienced Operations technician to perform and manage routine and high-level maintenance duties across the facility. You will assist with material handling equipment and facility repairs, ensuring food safety and product quality.

The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical systems, and ability to operate and test equipment. Shift is Monday–Friday, with some nights/weekends as needed; competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or preventive equipment maintenance.
• Experience with food processing equipment is a plus.
• Experience with RollStock and Repack vacuum packaging machines is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; knowledge of electrical systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and high-level maintenance duties in the facility.
• Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery per manufacturer guidelines.
• Visually inspect and test machinery; report problems to operations staff.
• Diagnose problems and repair machines with parts per manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Set up and break-down of Food Processing equipment as needed.
• Carry out building maintenance repairs (plumbing, lighting, etc.).
• Maintain material handling equipment and battery watering services as needed.
• Occasionally work night shifts and weekends; perform other duties as assigned.

This is an Operations position responsible for performing/managing routine and high‑level maintenance duties and other jobs assigned. Assists with material handling equipment and facility repairs.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - until done

Responsibilities:

• Each employee is responsible for the food safety and quality of our products
• Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery within the facility, as noted in the equipment manufacturer’s guidelines
• Visually inspect and test machinery to detect malfunction. Communicate equipment problems to operations staff as needed
• Diagnose problems and repair defective machines and equipment with new or repaired parts, following the specifications set forth in manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Set up and break‑down of Food Processing equipment as required
• Building maintenance repairs and up‑keep (plumbing repairs, blocked drains, changing lamps & ballasts, light remodeling, etc.)
• Material Handling Equipment: Conduct preventative maintenance/repairs and battery watering services on downtime
• Able to work night shift and occasional weekends
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must have knowledge of single‑phase and three‑phase electrical systems, AC/DC, high and low voltages

Experience:

• 2+ years’ experience in facility maintenance/preventative equipment maintenance
• Experience with food processing equipment is a plus
• Experience with RollStock and Repack vacuum packaging machines is a plus

Physical Demand:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel crouch, climb, use ladders, and perform various types of manual labor
• Occasionally, the employee may be required to lift to 70 pounds sometimes
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme heat and cold temperatures and sometimes wet conditions
