Treasure Valley YMCA is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for our Tomlinson South Meridian location. This full-time role performs experienced handyman and general maintenance tasks across a large facility, ensuring all equipment runs smoothly.

The position offers a 40-hour workweek with a Monday–Friday schedule, between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm, and pays $18.55–$23.19 per hour. Benefits include retirement, health and dental insurance, family facility access, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Two years of related schooling or equivalent experience in a commercial work environment.
• Skill in using hand and power tools preferred.
• Skill in performing preventative maintenance preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to safety and emergencies.
• Must be able to engage others and make everyone feel welcome.

Responsibilities

• Incorporates and adheres to preventative maintenance program to keep facilities and equipment in good condition.
• Performs basic maintenance including painting, electrical, woodworking, building repair and cleaning.
• Completes work orders timely.
• Assembles, moves, and maintains equipment.
• Notifies staff of damaged or unsafe equipment.
• Prioritizes safety and follows safety protocols.
• Communicates progress with staff and provides coverage for Meridian and Caldwell YMCA locations.

Description

Our Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join the team! This position is responsible for performing experienced / journey level handyman and general maintenance service and repairs, as assigned.

The South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA is unlike any other in the country. Our 60,000-square-foot facility is part of a unique collaboration that combines family recreation, education, sports, literacy, and wellness care on a single campus called "The Hill." Hand in hand with our partners- St. Luke's Health System, the West Ada School District, and the City of Meridian, the South Meridian Family Y will help us build A BETTER US.

Schedule

This is a Full-Time position at 40 hours weekly. Schedule is flexible 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday through Friday. Pay: $18.55-$23.19/hr.

Responsibilities

• Incorporates and adheres to preventative maintenance program to ensure the facilities and all of the equipment iskept in good running condition at all times.
• Performs basic maintenance including but not limited to painting, electrical, woodworking, building repair and cleaning.
• Completes work orders as assigned and within the time allotted.
• Assembles, moves, and maintains equipment as instructed.
• Removes and notifies necessary staff immediately of any damaged or unsafe equipment that needs to be replaced.
• Prioritizes safety, using safety protection and adhering to all safety protocols, policies, and procedures at all times.
• Communicates regularly with staff regarding the progress of projects assigned.
• Provides Maintenance coverage for Meridian and Caldwell YMCA locations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:

• CPR/AED. Prerequisite upon hire - 14-day compliance period.
• First Aid Certification. Prerequisite upon hire - 14-day compliance period.
• Certified Pool Operations License (CPO) within 180 days of hire.
