Job summary

Fairfield in San Diego is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Technician II to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our residential community. You will diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues and prepare vacant units for new residents.

This temporary, full-time role lasts about 3–6 months and includes participation in on-call emergency coverage, with an emphasis on safety and property presentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum one year of experience in property management maintenance or related trade required.

About the Role

As a Temporary Maintenance Technician II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our residential community. You will be responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing issues in electrical, plumbing, and appliances, and preparing vacant apartments for new residents. You will also participate in the emergency on-call rotation. Your work will directly impact the safety, cleanliness, and overall appeal of the property, contributing to a positive living experience for our residents.

This temporary, full‑time position is expected to last approximately 3-6 months and is subject to change based on business needs.

Maintenance Tasks

• Perform daily maintenance and repairs in electrical, plumbing, and appliances.

What You'll Need

Education and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

Minimum one year of previous experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade required

• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English

Estimated Rate of Pay :

$23.29 - $30.27 This position is non‑exempt; the range above reflects hourly rates.
