Job summary

JES Holdings is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Technician to uphold and repair our apartment communities, ensuring units are turn-ready and well-maintained. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and appliance repairs, while delivering proactive service to residents.

Candidates must have 3+ years in property maintenance, be able to work overtime, travel for training, and maintain safe, professional relationships with residents and staff. on-site role in Savannah, GA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• 3+ years in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems (e.g., door entry, fire suppression).
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC during unit turns, work orders, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Assist in unit make-readies including painting, carpet cleaning, and cleaning as needed.
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Pick up supplies from vendors while operating a registered, insured vehicle.
• Report to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for tasks.
• Travel for regional and corporate training or conferences as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Notify manager of health and safety concerns on site.

A non-extensive list of maintenance skills used in this role includes drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, general building maintenance.

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of completing unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.

• Conduct unit make readies ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner. Work included in these tasks: painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
• Preform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Must be willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to pick up supplies from area vendors as needed while legally operating a registered and properly insured vehicle.
• Reports to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for all delegated tasks.
• Travel to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, vendors, and other staff members.
• Make the manager aware of any health and safety concerns on site.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed and approved
• Must be eager to train and learn company systems, engage in training programs on HVAC, safety training, and be engaged in HUD and LIHTC maintenance standard training.

• Must be able to preform all physical requirements of position including but not limited to being able to lift a minimum of 55lbs, work in enclosed spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
