Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join the team at Plymouth Square Village, a 280-unit affordable housing community in Detroit, MI. You will perform maintenance across rental units, common areas, office, grounds and parking lots.

The role offers an hourly pay of $22.00 to $23.00 with a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) and on-call duties one week on, two weeks off. Candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience and basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing,

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
• Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and make repairs in appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs to company standards; ensure vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market ready.
• Perform maintenance service orders under preventive maintenance program, building and safety inspection and annual unit inspection.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.

About the Opportunity

In this role, you will perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, residentialcommon areas,office,groundsand parking lots.

The pay range for this role is $22.00-$23.00 per hour. The selected candidate will adhere to the following schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM with on-call duty required being on-call for one week and off for two weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and make repairs in such areas as, but not limitedto:appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures. Ensure vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market readyin accordance withcompany standards.
• Perform maintenance service orders associated with the preventive maintenance program, building and safetyinspectionand annual unit inspection.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.

Requirements:
