JES Holdings is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to join our team in Rolla, Missouri. This role focuses on timely repairs and routine maintenance to keep apartment communities in top condition, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep.

The position is full time, with an 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday schedule and on-call duties as required. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of multifamily or commercial maintenance experience, hands-on skills with building systems, and

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair and building systems.
  • Familiar with REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and HVAC as part of unit turns and maintenance.
  • Perform general repairs independently and maintain curb appeal.
  • Complete daily resident work orders and assist neighboring properties as needed.
  • Be available for after-hours on-call and maintain safety on site.
  • Assist with make-readies including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.

Job Summary

These exceptionally driven professionals are essential to the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, enabling them to be places our residents are proud to live.

We are looking for dynamic professionals who are punctual, professional, and proactive. Arriving at work on time, possessing strong time management skills, providing our residents with enthusiastic service while completing work orders, and having a keen eye for detail to catch small issues before they become big in this rewarding role.

A non-extensive list of maintenance skills used in this role includes drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, general building maintenance.

  • Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of completing unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
  • Preform general repairs independently.
  • Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
  • Complete daily resident work orders.
  • Be available for on call after hours.
  • Must have applicable maintenance tools.
  • Conduct unit make readies ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner. Work included in these tasks: painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
  • Preform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
  • Must be willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
  • Must be able to pick up supplies from area vendors as needed while legally operating a registered and properly insured vehicle.
  • Reports to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for all delegated tasks.
  • Travel to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, vendors, and other staff members.
  • Make the manager aware of any health and safety concerns on site.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed and approved
  • Must be eager to train and learn company systems, engage in training programs on HVAC, safety training, and be engaged in HUD and LIHTC maintenance standard training.
Required Qualifications
  • Education:
  • High School diploma or the equivalent
  • Experience:
    • 3 + years of experience in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience
    • Must have working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems (ie. Door entry systems, fire suppression systems, etc.)
    • Must have knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.
Preferred Qualifications (If applicable)
  • HVAC EPA Type II Certification
Physical & Work Environment Requirements (If applicable)
  • Must be able to preform all physical requirements of position including but not limited to being able to lift a minimum of 55lbs, work in enclosed spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
