Job summary

Foshee Residential is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician II to support one of our apartment communities in Opelika, AL 36801. This hands-on role involves general maintenance, basic painting, A/C drain line inspection, drywall and carpentry, timely service request completion, and keeping the community looking its best while following safety regulations.

Customer service to residents is essential. Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs, use basic hand and power tools, and work independently

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily properties.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic hand tools and power tool knowledge are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs.
• Basic painting.
• A/C drain line inspection and clearing.
• Minor drywall repairs and carpentry work.
• Complete service requests promptly and professionally.
• Support curb appeal and community appearance.
• Follow OSHA and safety regulations.
• Provide strong customer service to residents.
• Work independently or in a team.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergencies.
• Assist with preventative maintenance as needed.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in solving problems, and helps keep a community running smoothly day to day.

What You'll Do

• Perform general maintenance and repairs
• Basic painting
• A/C drain line inspection and clearing
• Minor drywall repairs, carpentry work
• Complete service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Help maintain curb appeal and overall community appearance
• Follow all OSHA and safety regulations
• Provide strong customer service when interacting with community members
• Work both independently and as part of a team
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
• Assist with preventative maintenance and additional tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• 1+ year of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic hand tool and power tool knowledge
• Basic painting skills
• Basic knowledge of appliances
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Comfortable responding to after-hours service calls
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required
