Overview

Graham Packaging Company is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician II based in Tolleson, AZ. This opening is for 2ND shift, which operates during the hours of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Training will take place on day shift). Maintenance Technicians are responsible for installation and repair of equipment in the plant. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment and building.

Responsibilities
  1. Understand, follow, and enforce all established safety, health, quality GMP, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  2. Focus on producing quality product by monitoring quality levels and adjusting manufacturing processes to ensure product integrity.
  3. Maintain controls for assuring successful plant performance to budgeted goals.
  4. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  5. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  6. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
  7. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  8. Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  9. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  10. Perform simple machinist skills.
  11. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  12. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  13. Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
  14. Limited travel may be required.
Qualifications
  1. Two-year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field is preferred.
  2. A minimum of five years Industrial Maintenance Technician experience is preferred.
  3. Essential skills include:
    • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
    • Computer usage and typing skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective communication with internal and external customers.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
    • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within given instructions, routines, and practices.
    • Effective communication: conveying facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
    • Collaborative mindset: contributing proactively to group objectives and volunteering to help others.
Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for this position is in accordance with legal mandates within certain U.S. jurisdictions. Final compensation will be based on individual qualifications and experience.
