Job summary

Related Affordable is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to keep our community safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks while supporting residents and a dedicated maintenance team.

If you’re a hands-on problem solver with 2+ years in maintenance, you’ll contribute to high-quality service, participate in on-call rotations, and help prepare units for occupancy in a fast-paced affordable-housing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
• Dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
• Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report shortages.
• Other duties as assigned
