Job summary

ThyssenKrupp Presta AG is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to install, repair, and maintain industrial equipment across multiple systems. The role covers mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotics, and PLC controls, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, document work in SAP, and collaborate with manufacturing engineering to implement improvements. Overtime is expected during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Detailed prior experience repairing and maintaining manufacturing machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with PLC controllers including Siemens and Rockwell/AB.
• Ability to read machine prints and electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working environment by following safety policies.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment (mechanical, pneumatic, robotics, electrical, hydraulic, PLC).
• Perform PM and PdM to increase equipment up-time.
• Recommend spare parts and equipment improvements.
• Support equipment improvement projects by Manufacturing Engineering.
• Comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with team across all levels.
• Document maintenance in SAP.
• Communicate across shift overlap.
• Maintain 6S housekeeping and ISO TS standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

Rate of Pay: $24-32/hour

Installs, maintains, and repairs industrial assembly equipment including but not restricted to pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Troubleshoots issues both physically and electronically via PLC or program investigation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
• Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs production equipment for a safe and productive work environment. Including, but not restricted to:
  • Mechanical
  • Pneumatic
  • Robotics
  • Electrical
  • Hydraulic
  • PLC
• Performs Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to maintain safety and increase up-time of equipment.
• Makes recommendations for spare parts requirements and equipment improvements.
• Works on process support equipment improvement projects directed by the Manufacturing Engineering Dept.
• Complies with all safety standards and regulations provided by the company and government.
• Participates and contributes in a team environment by working with all levels of associates and coworkers.
• Documents all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the course of the day in SAP.
• Performs all required duties and communicate information within shift overlap procedure.
• Adheres to all housekeeping SOP`s in and around work area including 6S standards.
• Works in accordance to all TS-16949 and ISO 14001 standards within assigned work area.
• Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies.
• Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Detailed prior experience repairing and peforming maintenance on manufacturing machinery and in trouble shooting, electronics 12VDC-460 VAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, motor starters, pumps and PLC controls.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Experience with PLC controllers, including but not restricted to:
  • Siemens
  • Rockwell/Allen Bradley
• Ability to read and understand:
  • Machine blue prints (2D and 3D)
  • Electrical Schematics/Wiring Diagrams
  • Hydraulic Schematics
  • Pneumatic Schematics/Valve Drawings
• Demonstrates a strong customer focus along with a great work ethic and willingness to do what needs to be done (without taking shortcuts.)
• Possesses a stable work history and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic math, including working with decimals.
• Possesses a logical method of problem solving and willingness to learn and improve one’s skills.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to meet and exceed customer requirements at all times.
• Must be able to work required overtime that can be substantial during peak customer production periods.
• Able to perform detailed work with a strong attention to detail and quality.

Education

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. and be able to read, write, and speak in English.

Computer skills and knowledge of hardware & software required
