Job summary

Brava Roof Tile in Washington, IA seeks a Maintenance Technician II for 2nd shift. You will read electrical and hydraulic schematics, troubleshoot and repair automated equipment, and manage work orders with labor, parts, and downtime data.

Mold changes and collaboration with production teams are key parts of the role. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance, experience with PLCs, and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • Manufacturing experience (Required).
  • 2+ years of maintenance in a plastic processing facility (Preferred).
  • 5+ years with automated equipment, PLCs (Preferred).
  • 3+ years with work order management (Preferred).
  • HVAC & Boiler System Experience (Preferred).
  • Industrial maintenance: 3 years (Preferred).
  • Programmable logic controllers: 3 years (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Read technical drawings and schematics (electrical & hydraulic).
  • Generate and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, parts used.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, valve bodies, coils.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with manufacturing equipment, hydraulic systems, conveyors, material handling systems.
  • Perform mold changes on presses as required.
  • Excellent time management to meet deadlines; prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Work independently and in a team, own new arriving equipment and assist in setup and repairs.
  • Coordinate with Pre-Production Managers/Supervisor on progress and improvements.
