Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel in Saint Charles, Missouri is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to uphold the property’s safety, functionality, and guest experience. You will perform repairs and preventative maintenance across plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC, while engaging in light carpentry and painting as needed.

The role requires strong maintenance knowledge, ability to dismantle equipment, and skill in water systems for pool operations.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, organized team member with maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, testing, filtration, and pool mechanical operations.
• Experience implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs for a safe, well-maintained hotel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and smooth-running hotel property and grounds.
• Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC.
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair.
• Implement and monitor safety programs in compliance with regulations.
• Keep detailed records and reports for maintenance activities.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs.
• Contribute to guest experience through courteous, friendly service.

What you will do:

Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

• Complete repairsand preventative maintenanceon a variety of systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipmentand HVAC
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair
• Implement and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response and injury prevention
• Keep detailed records and reports
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance
• Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality
• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operationsfor pool maintenance
• Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel
• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing
• Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English
• Ability to troubleshoot andrepair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods
• Flexibility to be available for emergency repair
