Monarch Landing in Naperville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join our team. This full-time role involves keeping the community, equipment, and systems safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents and staff.

You will perform routine and emergency repairs, service HVAC systems, and participate in on-call rotations. A strong customer-service mindset and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical schooling or at least one year of residential/apartment/building maintenance experience.
• HVAC experience preferred.
• Valid Illinois driver's license with a good driving record.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Customer-service mindset and ability to interact professionally with residents, families, guests, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency repairs, including electrical, plumbing, fixtures, appliances, and doors.
• Assist with servicing and maintaining HVAC systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls involving system or equipment failures.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, equipment, and vehicles.
• Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.

Monarch Landing is looking for a hospitality-minded Maintenance Technician II to join our team. In this role, you’ll help keep our community, equipment, and systems safe, functional, and well-maintained for our residents and team members.

What You’ll Do

Maintenance Technician II – Full-Time

Tuesday–Saturday | 9:30 AM–6:00 PM | $24/hour

• Perform routine and emergency repairs, including minor electrical repairs, plumbing, light fixtures and bulbs, appliances, medical equipment, doors, locks, and other building-related needs.
• Assist with servicing and maintaining HVAC systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls involving system or equipment failures.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, equipment, and vehicles.
• Assist with snow removal and other seasonal maintenance needs.
• Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical schooling or at least one year of experience in residential maintenance, apartment maintenance, commercial building maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• HVAC experience preferred.
• Valid Illinois driver's license with a good driving record.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• A customer-service mindset and willingness to interact professionally with residents, families, guests, and team members.
