Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners in Charleston, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to handle work orders, assist with preventative maintenance, and support day-to-day upkeep across the community. HVAC certification and a working knowledge of routine repairs are required.

Education: High School or GED; two years apartment maintenance preferred. Valid driver's license, EPA/HVAC certification; CPO a plus.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Two years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• EPA/ HVAC Certification.
• CPO Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Assure all service requests are completed by Hawthorne standards.
• Repair and restore vacant apartments to make ready status in preparation for the next move-in as per company standard.
• Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning.
• Completion of preventative maintenance according to the guidelines outlined in company policy.
• Perform building and common area upkeep daily. Assist in keeping ground neat and free of litter, debris, and pet waste.
• Promote good professional relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff.
• Conduct on-call emergency service rotation as scheduled
• Follow safety guidelines in accordance with OSHA and company policy and standards.
• Complete special projects as needed.

Maintenance Technician II | Job Overview

• Maintain shop appearance to facilitate quick assessment of supply inventory.

• Promote good professional relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff. Through the LIVE IT culture, always display a friendly and courteous attitude towards prospects, residents, vendors, and other employees. Always maintain professionalism.
• Conduct on-call emergency service rotation as scheduled

Work Schedule & Availability

Maintenance Technicians work Monday through Friday, with standard office hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role will require participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and occasional support for resident events, as needed.
