Job summary

Signode Industrial Group, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to keep production and operations safe and efficient. You will service and repair complex equipment and ensure compliance with safety programs, driving reliability and quality across shifts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED and mechanical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanic.
  • Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
  • Ability to read and use schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
  • Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns.
  • Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
  • Good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
  • Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders.
  • Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventive maintenance.
  • Report findings to management.
  • Perform corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
  • Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended downtime.
  • Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
  • Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk, including rectifying immediate dangers.
  • Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.

Job Description

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $35.00 - $38.00 hourly and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Shift

7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am, Monday - Thursday 12hr days one week, then Monday - Wednesday 12hr days the next week.

Summary

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician II is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality. Servicing and repairing complex equipment. Complieswith applicable regulations and the department's Safety program.

Essential Functions
  • Performstroubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairsequipment.

Qualifications
Education

Experience
  • Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
  • Ability to read and use schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
  • Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
  • Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance.
  • Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
  • Must have a good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.
  • Forklifts and scissor lift driving experience is preferred.
