Qualifications

• Two or more years of maintenance work experience.

• Ability to read and comprehend manufacturers' instructions for repairs.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation.
• Assist in establishment of routine preventative maintenance program for all physical plant areas and equipment.
• Repair and install plumbing, electrical, floor tile, ceiling tile and various furniture items (e.g., washers, valves, faucets, drains, light fixtures).
• Assist with painting when necessary.
• Assist with inclement weather protection and repair (de-ice parking lots, etc.).
• Maintain record keeping of completed work and preventative maintenance files.
• Model a service and solutions oriented attitude towards others; take ownership in solving problems and improving things.
• Ensure safety of residents, visitors and co-workers by reporting hazards.
• Maintain good attendance record.
• Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Day to day routine maintenance of heating, refrigeration air conditioning, and ventilation

Assist in establishment of routine preventative maintenance program for all physical

plant areas and equipment

Repair and install plumbing, electrical, floor tile, ceiling tile and various furniture items,

such as: washers, valve systems, faucets, toilet rings, drains, sockets, light fixtures, photo cells, changing filters, etc.

Assist with painting, when necessary

Assist with inclement weather protection and repair (de-ice parking lots, etc.)

Maintain record keeping of completed work and preventative maintenance files

Models a service and solutions oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in

solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous

to residents, patients and co-workers

Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and

reporting any new or existing safety hazards

Maintain good attendance record

Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED is required

Valid Texas drivers license and clear driving record

Demonstrate two or more years of maintenance work with building maintenance

Intermediate technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment

Knowledge of work safety factors

Ability to read and comprehend manufacturers instructions for repairing or installing

equipment, not requiring licensed or certified personnel

Ability to identify and correct plumbing, and related problems

Ability to work without direct supervision and complete assigned tasks (even if there are interruptions from staff and residents)

Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
