Job summary

First Financial Bank is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support our Cedar Lake and Crown Point facilities. You will perform general and mid-level maintenance, respond to work orders, and ensure spaces meet corporate standards for appearance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general and mid-level maintenance duties to meet corporate standards.
• Responds to work orders using the online system, communicates findings and closes the work order.
• Performs painting, plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry tasks, replaces locks and glass, bulbs and ballast, and maintains equipment.
• Assists in removing bank records and maintaining exterior areas, and manages vehicle readiness and meeting room setups.
• Obtains bids on supplies and places orders, estimating material and labor costs.

If you are interested and qualified for this role, we invite you to apply.Performs a variety of general and mid-level maintenance duties to make sure properties and premises meet or exceed corporate standard for appearance and are ready for business.**Essential Functions/Responsibilities*** Uses power tools and hand tools to perform repair and maintenance work.* Will respond to work orders using the online system by accepting, responding, communicating findings and closing the work order.* Will understand and follow safety standards.* Performs minor and routine painting of walls, doors and other surfaces, both indoors and outdoors; light to moderate repairs involving plumbing, electrical wiring, roof repair, light to moderate carpentry; replacing locks and glass; moves lighting fixtures and replaces bulbs and ballast; replaces air conditioner filters; checks, lubricates, cleans, and performs minor repairs to equipment and machines; and performs light assembly work* Assists in removal and destruction of designated bank records; removes dirt, debris, snow and ice from sidewalks, parking lots and drives; mows grass, trims shrubs, cleans and maintains landscaped areas and flower beds* Assists in setting up and cleaning meeting rooms; moves furniture and equipment as needed; assures proper maintenance is performed on vehicles assigned to maintenance department* Will obtain bids on specified supplies and place orders as directed including estimating material and labor costs.* Will inspect various banking facilities and properties for inventory or maintenance and repair**Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job*** Must have knowledge of building and equipment maintenance /repair techniques and possess skills in those techniques.* Requires minimum of high school degree plus three years of related work experience. Pursues continuing education as needed or required.* Ability to conduct intradepartmental contacts regarding routine workplace matters, and to conduct effective communication with bank associates, or third-party contractors and monitor work performed by those contractors.* Ability to perform light to moderate assembly, machine repair and general maintenance duties including but not limited to a strong knowledge and understanding of building electrical systems, HVAC systems and plumbing systems.* Ability to perform duties in a semi-standardized environment requiring initiative to maintain workflow* Ability to apply visual attention, dexterity and coordination in the regular operation of tools and equipment and motor vehicle.* Requires basic computer skills to use a computer and mobile device for responding to online work orders and emails.* Requires a good disposition, friendly nature, and the ability to interface with bank associates, tenants, and landlords with poise and diplomacy.* Requires valid driver’s license.* Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.**Preferred Knowledge and Skills****Level of Complexity and Scope*** Handles complex issues and problem and refers only the most complex issue to higher level staff.
