Job summary

Kelvion seeks a Maintenance Technician II to perform maintenance on heavy equipment in an industrial plant in Catoosa, OK. You will repair cranes, conveyors, motors, and automated machinery, while performing inspections and coordinating with supervisors to minimize downtime.

The role requires at least 3 years in industrial maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read electrical drawings and schematics. Strong teamwork and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics for pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Capable of repairing and maintaining motors, conveyors, cranes, and other production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes, and other machinery; diagnose and recommend repairs.
  • Observe devices in operation and listen for sounds to locate trouble sources.
  • Perform monthly inspections on all production equipment and coordinate with managers.
  • Inspect parts for defects; repair or replace defective parts; install functional parts.
  • Lubricate, test, and adjust equipment; ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Operate overhead and jib cranes, forklifts, and man lifts.
  • Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired components.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, transformers, wiring, and hydraulic/pneumatic components.
  • Assemble and maintain hydraulic/pneumatic pipe systems; check gauges and valves.
  • Repair establishment structures; fabricate and repair counters, benches, and wooden structures.
  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and robotic devices.
  • Work on-site with regular attendance, punctuality, and overtime as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and management respectfully.

The Role

Perform activities concerned with maintenance of equipment and machinery in industrial plant by performing the following duties.

What you will be responsible for:
  • Ability to repair and maintain overhead bridge cranes Jib Cranes and other types of machinery require diagnosing and making solid recommendations to repair all equipment as needed. Must have knowledge in repairing, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems.
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to the sounds to locate cause of trouble.
  • Perform monthly inspections on all production equipment and replacement parts; Confer with department managers to coordinate monthly inspections
  • Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections; repair or replace defective parts; install special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricate and clean parts. Start devices to test their performance.
  • Operate overhead and jib cranes, operate industrial forklifts and man lifts.
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Ability to dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Ability to install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Layout, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Ability to repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
  • Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematic drawing for pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; and minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
