Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to handle advanced tasks on production machines, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs with minimal supervision. The role includes setting up equipment, reading blueprints, and applying welding and fabrication skills to keep machines running efficiently.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree preferred, and at least three years of related maintenance experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of related maintenance experience.
  • High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • Ability to obtain forklift and aerial lift licenses.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills; machining with mill/lathe preferred.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain production equipment; troubleshoot issues.
  • Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the EAM system.
  • Set up new equipment and train others on repair techniques.
  • Interpret blueprints and drawings to perform tasks.
  • Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and report hazards.
  • Provide status updates to supervisors and submit end-of-shift reports.
  • Support safety initiatives and adherence to protocols.

Job description

Job Overview:

The Maintenance Technician II will assume advanced tasks relating to the production machines and will troubleshoot when necessary. This positionis responsible foranalyzing equipment to troubleshoot problems and making any necessary repairs with minimal oversight from maintenance supervision. This individual is encouraged to develop daily goals/strategies and ensure all equipment is running effectively and efficiently.


Work Schedule:

Monday - Thursday (OT on Fridays as needed)



  • 6:00am - 4:00pm


Highlights of your role:


  • Work efficiently with the work order system (EAM) to document repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the plant.

  • Perform regular inspections and repairs on production equipment;assistin machine repairs and train others on proper repair techniques and preventive maintenance practices.

  • Set up new equipment; troubleshoot using specialty tools and make decisions on effective repair methods.

  • Interpret blueprints and part drawings to perform maintenance tasks.

  • Apply basic machinist skills using a vertical mill and lathe.

  • Demonstrate understanding of welding and fabrication techniques.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Provide feedback to supervisors on maintenance status andsubmitend-of-shift reports.

  • Promote a culture of safety and integrity by consistently following all safety protocols, reporting hazards, and engaging in training andinitiatives.

  • High School diploma or GEDrequired;Associate'sdegree in a related technical field strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of three years of related maintenance experience and/or technical trainingrequired.

  • Ability to obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses.

  • Basic welding and fabrication skills; machining experience with mill and lathe preferred.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management software andthe MicrosoftSoftware Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
