Factor is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Newark, NJ. You will maintain and repair complex machinery and production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and safe operation.

The role requires reading schematics, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment. You will troubleshoot issues, perform routine inspections, and coordinate with production to align maintenance with schedules.

Qualifications

• 1+ years general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in manufacturing/production.
• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Qualified to handle electrical components, controls, and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex machinery (conveyor system, HVAC, scanners, doors).
• Maintain and repair production equipment as needed.
• Monitor equipment and troubleshoot problems and breakdowns.
• Perform facility maintenance incl. carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Prioritize repairs to avoid production downtime.
• Conduct regular facility inspections.
• Coordinate repairs with production schedules.
• Report major concerns to management.
