Job summary

Trane Technologies in Arkansas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair machinery and production tools across multiple lines. You will build specialized tools, carts, and equipment as needed and prioritize urgent items daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or GED equivalent.
• Degree in Maintenance Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with a wide range of mechanical equipment.
• Three (3) plus years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Basic electrical skills.
• Comprehension of schematics/blueprints.
• Self-starter and motivated to maintain building/machines to 100% uptime via strong preventative activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and tools as needed per PM schedule.
• Communicate status of equipment with internal customers.
• Advise supervisor on needs for outside services and coordinate repairs.
• Build specialized tools, carts, equipment as needed by Facilities & Operations.
• Prepare bills of material for major material use and initiate purchase requisitions.
• Prioritize urgent items and make day-to-day decisions for maintenance tasks.
• Move materials using hoists, carts, lifts, and forklifts.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures per plant LOTO plan.
