Job summary

Action Property Management in Sacramento is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to help keep building systems and facilities in top condition. Under supervision, you will perform routine tasks and assist senior technicians on repairs while gaining hands-on experience.

This role offers a schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with compensation of $25-$30 per hour and opportunities to learn HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting and drywall while advancing toward more complex

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician
• Hands on experience or coursework in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting and Drywall is highly desired
• Knowledge of basic hand tools, PPE and OSHA standards
• High Rise Property Management or Hospitality experience is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills and customer service oriented attitude
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
• Must be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR, Fire Director, Weekly Fire and OSHA 10 certificates

Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, minor plumbing repairs, and landscaping.
• Preventive Maintenance: Assist in conducting preventive maintenance tasks, including filter changes, lubrication, and inspections.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests under supervision.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete tasks efficiently.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and PPE.
• Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and inventory.
• Property Maintenance: Assist in maintaining common areas, including cleaning and landscaping.
• Pool Maintenance: Assist in maintaining pool and spa operations.
