Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Tech II to help us meet production and quality goals. As a Trex Maintenance Tech II, you’ll be responsible for supporting production equipment repairs and upgrades and performing general and preventive maintenance. This role is a key member of our Operations team.

This is a unique opportunity to join the organization at an expansion stage and help build talent and culture from the ground up, as we build Trex’s new location in Little Rock. A high level of accountability and coordination, along with a focus on relationships and willingness to travel regularly to other established locations during the early months of this role, will be key components to success.

Shift: This position will initially operate on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM and will transition to a 12‑hour shift following the training period.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems on‑site.
• Learn to troubleshoot programmable logic controls and understand ladder logic.
• Responsible for metal fabrication, machining, and welding as required.
• Support engineering in the improvement of and/or development and implementation of new products and processes.
• Participation in housekeeping activities to keep up plant appearance and ensure it operates acceptably and safely.
• Participate in additional duties as required by the department team lead or manager.

EXPERIENCE

2-4 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience is required for this role. A High School Diploma (or GED), along with a high mechanical aptitude and welding experience, is also required. An associate degree in industrial maintenance is a plus. If you have worked as a Maintenance Lead or Maintenance Specialist, we want to hear from you!

You must have the ability to wear the required PPE, lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and attend off‑site training classes (1‑2 weeks per year, with proper notice).
