Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to be based in Thomasville, GA. You will maintain and repair equipment used to manufacture PVC conduit, ensuring safe and operable condition of machinery and mechanical components.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will perform basic electrical tasks, welding, plumbing, and fabricating as needed while adhering to safety procedures. This role offers 7:00am–7:00pm and 7:00pm–7:00am shifts with pay of $26.55 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical skill set experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment used to manufacture, package, convey, and store PVC conduit. Ensure safe and operable condition of machinery and mechanical components by completing required PMs on engines, motors, and pneumatic tools.
• Perform basic electrical tasks and perform welding, plumbing, pipe fitting and fabricating duties as required
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician I to be based out of Thomasville, GA. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this person will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment used to manufacture PVC conduit and ensure safe and operable condition of machinery and mechanical equipment.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain and repair equipment used to manufacture, package, convey, and store PVC conduit. Ensure safe and operable condition of machinery and mechanical components by completing required PMs on engines, motors, and pneumatic tools.
• Perform basic electrical tasks and perform welding, plumbing, pipe fitting and fabricating duties as required
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately

What you’ll bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical skill set experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes desired
• Any other requirements/qualifications as needed

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Complete any required training
• Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
• Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.

Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
