Job summary

Glanbia Performance Nutrition in Aurora, Illinois is seeking Maintenance Technicians to perform routine preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and order parts. The role includes occasional overtime and weekend work to support the Aurora locations.

You’ll use a range of tools, inspect motors and belts, and test machinery to identify and fix malfunctions. A minimum of 3 years’ maintenance experience and a High School Diploma are required; vocational schooling is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance environment.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.
• HS diploma or GED required; vocational training is beneficial.

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois. This range may not be applicable to other locations. The hourly rate for Illinois based employees for this role is $33.75/hour ($33.00/hour + $0.75 shift differential).

• 2nd Shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm

What you’ll do:

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance (PMs), diagnosing and correcting equipment issues, and ordering parts/ supplies from catalogs and suppliers for necessary repairs. This position also provides occasional overtime/weekend work to support the Aurora locations.

Every day, you can expect to:

• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run smoothly, including: inspects belts, motors, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, repairs or replaces broken parts, etc.
• Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Diagnose and correct equipment issues, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned.

To thrive in this role, you must:

• Have minimum of 3 years’ experience in a maintenance environment required (Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Vocational School education is considered a plus
