Job summary

Harvard Integrations is seeking a facility maintenance technician to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, and building systems to support safe, productive operations. You will perform routine upkeep, assist with dismantling and part replacement, and help with cleaning and storage of tools and materials.

The role requires basic hand tools, basic computer skills, and experience with forklifts and skid-steers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience using basic hand tools for repairs and maintenance.
• Fundamental computer skills for work order tracking and documentation.
• Experience operating forklifts and skid-steer equipment in a shop or facility setting.
• Basic electrical experience including reading simple electrical schematics.
• Adept at reading electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, structures, and plumbing/electrical systems to ensure safety and productivity.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on shop equipment and facilities.
• Assist with dismantling machines, replacing defective parts and motors, and adjusting feeds.
• Paint machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.
• Assist with building repairs including electrical, HVAC, plumbing and structural work.
• Oversee contractors for building, equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Organize and store materials and equipment properly.
• Follow quality guidelines and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow established safety guidelines and perform additional duties as requested.

Description

Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems to ensure operational safety and productivity at all times. Upkeep and maintenance of grounds including snow removal. Some janitorial duties may be included.

• Investigate malfunction of machinery and equipment to determine need for repair in a timely manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to shop equipment
• Assist with dismantling machines or equipment, replace defective parts and motors, and adjust feed mechanisms.
• Paint machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.
• Assist with building and facility repairs including electrical, heating/HVAC, plumbing and structural.
• May oversee contractors hired to perform building and facility repairs, equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure all materials and equipment are organized, used and stored properly.
• Follow all established quality guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Follow established safety guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as requested.
