Job summary

Carlisle Companies seeks Maintenance Technicians at our Puyallup, WA plant. The role maintains and repairs mechanical, electrical and boiler systems in a manufacturing environment, and executes capital projects and other maintenance tasks across the facility.

We have openings on the 2nd shift: Sunday through Thursday, 3:30pm-12am. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is provided in installments: $1,000 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days, and $1,000 after 270 days.

Responsibilities

• Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance.
• Start machines and observe operation to detect efficiency and to detect problems.
• Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair.
• Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance
• Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
• Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
• Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas.
• Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

We are seeking Maintenance Technicians at our plant in Puyallup, WA. The Maintenance Technician willMaintain and repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment; execute capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility.

Working Conditions

This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with some exposure to the outdoors; there is exposure to loud machinery, fumes, odors, and dust.Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used:

• Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor.
• EH certified safety shoes (steel toe or composite) over the ankle.
• Flame Resistant rated Maintenance uniform
• Other PPE as defined by management within assigned department.
