Job summary

Liberty Military Housing in San Clemente, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to upkeep residential homes within a military community. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure safe, reliable housing for active-duty service members and their families.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, coordinating with residents and supervisors, adhering to safety standards, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals and work orders.
  • Experience with residential, facilities, or maintenance work.
  • Familiarity with CMMS or work order systems is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on residential homes (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances).
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system issues to determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance calls promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct move-in/move-out and routine home inspections to ensure quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inventory using company systems.
  • Follow safety protocols, OSHA requirements, and military installation regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, supervisors, and team members to ensure excellent service.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technicianis responsible formaintaining, repairing, and improving residential homes within a military housing community. This role plays a critical part in providing safe, reliable, andwell-maintainedhousing foractive-dutyservice members and their families. Technicians are empowered to independently troubleshoot issues and complete repairs while adhering to safety, quality, and military installation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on residential homes, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and building systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system issues to determineappropriate repairsolutions
  • Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance calls ina timelyand professional manner
  • Conductmove-in, moveout, and routine home inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintainaccuratemaintenance records, work orders, and inventory using company systems
  • Follow all safety protocols, OSHA requirements, and military installation regulations
  • Communicate effectively with residents, supervisors, and team members to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Assistwith special projects, renovations, and community improvement initiatives as needed
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GEDrequired
  • 1+ years of experience in residential, facilities, or maintenance work
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work orders
  • Valid driver’s license and ability tooperatecompany vehicles
  • Ability tolift upto 50lbsand work in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing)

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC, electrical, or maintenance certifications
  • Experience working in residential housing or property management environments
  • Familiarity with CMMS or workorder tracking systems
  • Experience working on or near military installations
  • EPA Universal Certification
