WinnCompanies is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to join Calvin Mowbray Park and Stephen Camper Park, a 190-unit affordable housing community in Cambridge, MD. The role involves maintenance of rental units, common areas, offices, grounds, and parking lots.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• A current vehicle license in good standing and meet driving records standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
• Availability for on-call activity during off hours.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in areas such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs per company procedures.
• Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market-ready status.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on schedule and need.

WinnCompanies is searching for a Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Calvin Mowbray Park and Stephen Camper Park, a 190-unit affordable housing community located in Cambridge, MD.

In this role, you will perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, residential common areas, office, grounds and parking lots.

The pay range for this role is $18.00-$20.00 per hour. The selected candidate will adhere to a Monday through Friday schedule with on-call duty required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in such areas as, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
• Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market ready status in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning).
• A current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
• Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training.
• Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT).
