Job summary

Aviagen is seeking a Farm Maintenance Technician to manage maintenance and safety standards across facilities. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and supporting site operations to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe work environment.

Candidate should have electrical/mechanical experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. You will collaborate with management to uphold a high standard of biosecurity and operational integrity.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must adhere to biosecurity rules and safe working practices.
• Must be a team player and adaptable to changes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Build and repair equipment and structures as needed.
• Handle and store chemicals safely; perform sanitation and disinfection tasks.
• Assist crews where needed and cover shifts.
• Maintain routine checks and keep an up-to-date log.

Aviagen is currently seeking an experienced Farm Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance functions to ensure safe working conditions and to meet or exceed regulatory compliance. And partners with management team to create and maintain a safe work environment.

Job Duties / Accountabilities

Preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment Building and repairing equipment and structures Handing harsh chemicals Helping crews where and when it is needed Sanitize and disinfect rooms Performing routine checks and maintaining an up-to-date log May be asked to help cover another shift Operate forklift

Capabilities

Able to lift 50lbs Electrical/Mechanical experience preferred Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to adhere to biosecurity rules Must be a team player Must be capable of adapting to change and completing tasks in a timely manner.
