Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join our North American cement operations on a Monday–Friday day shift. In this role you will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve mechanical systems, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and safe procedures.
You will work with kilns, mills, and material-handling equipment, perform routine inspections, repairs, and assist in capital projects, following the plant's safety programs and training requirements.

Position: Maintenance Technician I
Reports to: Maintenance Superintendent
Shift: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm (Subject to change)
Pay: $40.52 per hour; this is a collective bargaining position

Under general supervision, the Maintenance Technician I maintains, troubleshoots, and improves the reliability of mechanical systems in a cement manufacturing facility. This is a qualified position that requires completion of the Maintenance Trainee program and/or equivalent outside experience demonstrating the ability to safely perform core maintenance tasks as defined in the skills matrix. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, and shutdown maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life for critical assets, including kilns, mills, and material-handling systems.
Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
