Job summary

The Andersons, a North American leader in agribusiness, is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Ohio site. You will repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and maintenance procedures to help meet site goals.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance on plant equipment, maintaining the preventative maintenance system, and applying safety standards. Some tasks involve assisting with plant activities and working under close supervision.

  • Has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process.
  • Works within clearly defined standard operations procedures and or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
  • Works with close supervision.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is accountable to repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to established safety, predictive and productive maintenance procedures to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

  • Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment, building interior and exterior.
  • Maintain computerized preventative maintenance system
  • Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all safety policies and standards related to position. Work in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations, take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others in building.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • 0-2 years’ relevant experience required
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
  • Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time
  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds
  • Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet
  • Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
  • Working conditions could include: dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces
